Innovative Thinking

Design Thinking is an interdisciplinary methodology employed by designers to foster the creation of innovative services, products, or problem-solving approaches rooted in a deep understanding of users’ genuine needs. This method encompasses various cognitive processes, strategic planning, iterative testing, and the formulation of novel design concepts. It unfolds through the following stages:

STAGES OF DESIGN THINKING

1. Empathy: In this initial phase, the focus is on designing solutions for people by gaining fresh perspectives and delving into the genuine needs of users. This involves immersing oneself in the persona of the user, collecting extensive data through tools like personas, interviews, empathy maps, and shadowing.

2. Problem Definition: Building on the insights gathered during the empathy phase, this stage involves refining the problem definition and synthesizing information. It includes an in-depth analysis of potential changes to services or products, broadening perspectives. Tools such as the 5 Whys technique, problem re-framing, and brainstorming contribute to this stage.

3. Generating Ideas: The ideation phase focuses on generating a plethora of new ideas and mapping them out. This phase concludes with the selection of one promising idea, emphasizing the optimization of the user experience.

4. Building Prototypes (Prototyping): The chosen idea is then translated into tangible form through the creation of prototypes. Prototypes can take the shape of 2D representations such as schemes, mood boards, or storyboards, 3D models, or even interactive prototypes that simulate user experiences.

5. Testing: The final stage involves subjecting the selected solution to rigorous testing in the actual user environment. Testing is crucial and should be conducted by users who closely resemble the intended audience. If the test results are unfavorable, the iterative process reinitiates, looping back to earlier stages.

Design Thinking is a dynamic and iterative approach that encourages designers to continually revisit and refine their understanding of the problem space. By placing a strong emphasis on empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing, this methodology fosters a user-centric perspective and promotes the development of innovative, human-centered solutions.

Design Thinking to międzydziedzinowa metoda wykorzystywana przez projektantów do tworzenia innowacyjnych usług, produktów lub rozwiązywania problemów poprzez poznanie rzeczywistych potrzeb użytkowników. Metoda ta obejmuje procesy poznawcze, planowanie, testowanie, strategię oraz tworzenie nowych koncepcji projektowych. Dzieli się ona na następujące etapy:

ETAPY DESIGN THINKING
